Diane Marie Amann delivers talks on international criminal justice

Woodruff Chair in International Law Diane Marie Amann presented "International Criminal Justice and the Value of Peace" to attorneys at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. She also gave a lecture entitled "On the Eve of the Lubanga Verdict: The Judicial Function and the Politics of International Criminal Justice" at the Hague Institute for Global Justice during March.


Conference to explore balance between sustainability and Georgia’s economic growth

Georgia Law's 24th Annual Red Clay Conference will address how to balance the long-term sustainability of Georgia's ecosystems with efforts to stabilize and improve its economy. Starting at 8:30 a.m. on March 23, this daylong symposium will take place in the Larry Walker Room of Dean Rusk Hall and will cover market-based conservation, managing the impact of non-indigenous species, longleaf pine restoration and possible changes to the federal endangered species list.


General counsel for Coca-Cola North America to serve as Edith House Lecturer

Georgia Law wins two regional tournaments; advances to nationals in three

Georgia Law recently took home the top trophy during the regional rounds of the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition, held in Atlanta, and at the Texas Bar Association National Trial Competition, held in Memphis, Tenn., earning the right to advance to the national level for both competitions. The school also earned the right to compete in the national rounds of the Transactional LawMeet after placing second at regionals.
