Congratulations to second-year law students Christopher A. Knapik and Christopher S. Smith for placing first at the 2012 Robert R. Merhige, Jr. National Environmental Negotiation Competition. This annual two-day competition features teams from around the country and involves several rounds of negotiation centered on current issues in environmental law.


Diane Marie Amann participates in conference on atrocity crimes

Woodruff Chair in International Law Diane Marie Amann served as a panelist at "The Atrocity Crimes Litigation Year in Review Conference," a daylong discussion held at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon during March. Panelists at the event reviewed recent decisions and developments in international criminal law, including the first verdict of the International Criminal Court.


Fazal Khan participates in ACS online symposium

Associate Professor Fazal Khan recently participated in an online blogging symposium with the American Constitution Society covering the oral arguments in the U.S. Supreme Court case HHS v. Florida. As part of the symposium, he provided commentary on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act titled "The Roberts Court Dangerously Close to Eroding Institution's Credibility."
