Georgia Law wins "best of the best" national moot court competition

Congratulations to third-year students Margaret E. “Maggy” Randels and Utrophia D. Robinson who won first place in the invitation-only Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship. Additionally, Robinson was named the second best oralist, and the pair prepared the third best brief. This tournament pitted the best moot court programs from across the country against each other, with only 16 law schools selected to participate based on their performance during the 2012-13 academic year.

Law conference to address corporations’ growing role in international governance

UPDATE  - Due to inclement weather the Feb. 14 conference on the New Roles of Corporations in Global Governance has been postponed. New date TBA. We regret any inconvenience this causes. 

Georgia Law will host “The New Roles of Corporations in Global Governance” conference. The event will include three panels exploring the differing roles corporations now play in global governance and their influence on the international law making process. The keynote address will be delivered by Bennett Freeman, who currently serves as senior vice president for sustainability research and policy at Calvert Investments.
