Georgia Law's Sibley Lecture to address tort law

John Goldberg, Goldston Professor of Law at Harvard University, will present “Inexcusable Wrongs” as the University of Georgia School of Law’s 111th Sibley Lecturer April 11 at 3:30 p.m. in the Hatton Lovejoy Courtroom of Hirsch Hall. An expert in tort law, tort theory and political philosophy, Goldberg will discuss how tort law has little patience for excuses while criminal law is more forgiving. The event is free and open to the public.

Georgia Law finishes as finalists in Intrastate Moot Court Competition

Congratulations to second-year students Alicia N. Luncheon, M. Laughlin Kane and Spencer E. Schold for finishing as finalists in the 2014 Intrastate Moot Court Competition. A second UGA team, comprised of second-year students Dov Preminger, Alexander F. "Alex" Schwall and Ashley R. Wright, were semifinalists in the tournament. Both teams were coached by third-year students Allison L. Hill and Clayton O. "Clay" Knowles.
