Biographical Information: 

Amanda Shaw joined the School of Law in 2017 as its grants coordinator. She is responsible for identifying potential grant opportunities and assisting faculty with developing grant proposals, budget preparation and grant compliance.

Prior to joining Georgia Law, Shaw worked for the UGA Office of Research as a grants specialist, managing externally sponsored grants and contracts awarded to the university. Previously, she worked as a new equipment sales representative for KONE Elevators and Escalators in Washington, D.C., where she was responsible for sales projects throughout the project lifecycle. This included bidding and negotiation, as well as project management throughout manufacturing and installation.

Shaw earned her bachelor’s degree in art history at Florida State University and her Juris Doctor at the University of Georgia. While in law school, she served as a legal intern for the Athens-Clarke County Attorney’s Office and as an intern for the Kingdom of Cambodia’s Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts’ Department of Antiquities, during which time she researched international practices and presented proposals for the export and trade of Cambodian cultural property.
