Biographical Information

Jerrod Lukacs currently serves as general counsel and director of strategy for Yancey Bros., Georgia’s exclusive Caterpillar dealer and a leading dealer for various other industrial equipment and commercial vehicle brands throughout the Southeast. At Yancey, Lukacs oversees all of the company’s legal needs as well as works directly with the business teams developing and executing strategic growth initiatives. Lukacs previously was corporate counsel at Mercedes-Benz USA, where he served as legal counsel in transactional matters across all business teams.

Prior to his work with Mercedes-Benz, Lukacs worked as an associate at King & Spalding, where he specialized in representing directors, officers, and shareholders in complex intra-corporate disputes, including M&A litigation, fiduciary duty litigation, securities litigation, and corporate governance matters. Lukacs served as a judicial clerk to Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock, III of the Delaware Court of Chancery. In 2016, Lukacs helped establish the annual Corporate Litigation short course at the University of Georgia School of Law, which he co-teaches with Vice Chancellor Glasscock.

Lukacs earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of Georgia and his law degree cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Georgia Law Review.
