Scholarship & Writing Opportunities

 
There are many external opportunities available for current students in need of financial assistance. Below you will find a searchable list of both scholarship applications and writing competitions. * The University of Georgia School of Law declares no affiliation, sponsorship, nor partnerships with these funding resources.

The author of the first-place essay will receive a $1000.00 cash prize. The winning essay will be published in the NACTT Quarterly - The Quarterly Journal of the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. The winner will also receive free registration and a room for the 2018 NACTT annual seminar in Miami, Florida.

The first place winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize.  The second place winner will receive a $3,000 cash prize and the third place winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize. The winner will also be recognized at the Annual Pacific Legal Foundation Gala.  PLF will pay for the winner’s reasonable travel costs to attend the gala and will assist with travel arrangements.

The winner will receive reasonable expense reimbursement to attend the AIPLA Annual Meeting, October 25 – 27, 2018 in Washington DC, to receive their award.

The 2018 Award includes an honorarium plus support for travel to the ASPL Developments in Pharmacy Law Seminar XXVIV in Hilton Head Island, SC,  November 1-4, 2018.

  • The author of the winning essay will receive a cash prize of $5,000
  • The essay will be published in the South Carolina Law Review
  • The prize will be presented to the recipient at the American Inns of Court annual Celebration of Excellence at the Supreme Court of the United States

The winner will receive a $2,500 cash prize that may be presented at an agreed-upon CJS event with approved transportation costs not to exceed $800 to be covered by the Section. At the sole discretion of the editorial board, the winning entry may be selected for publication in Criminal Justice magazine, subject to editing. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. Please note: the ABA must have the first right of publication of the selected essay.
