There are many external opportunities available for current students in need of financial assistance. First Place: $2,500 cash prize plus an all-expense paid trip to the 2018 Business Law Section Spring Meeting.

Second Place: $1,000 cash prize plus an all-expense paid trip to the 2018 Business Law Section Spring Meeting.

Third Place: $500 cash prize plus an all-expense paid trip to the 2018 Business Law Section Spring Meeting.

The Scribes Law-Review Award is presented at the annual meeting of the National Conference of Law Reviews, which is usually held in March or April.

The author of the winning paper in each category (lawyer and law student) will receive a cash prize of $1,500. The winning papers will receive special recognition at the 2018 ACS National Convention, on the ACS website, and potentially through other means agreed upon by the authors and ACS.

The student authors of the top three papers will receive special recognition at the ACS National Convention in the summer of 2018 and a cash prize for their work. The winner will be awarded $3,000. Each of the two runners-up will receive $1,000. The top paper would be eligible for publication in the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law.

Available awards include $4,000 in prize money and publication in the prestigious ABI Journal and ABI committee newsletters. Winners of the competition will be announced in April 2018. We will also provide one-year ABI memberships to all students who participate.

The First Place Winner, sponsored by Blank Rome, LLP, will receive a prize of $2,000, plus publication of his or her paper in the prestigious ABI Journal.
The Second Place Winner, sponsored by Jenner & Block, will receive a cash prize of $1,250, plus publication of his or her paper in an ABI committee newsletter.
The Third Place Winner, sponsored by Wolcott Rivers Gates, will receive a cash prize of $750, plus publication of his or her paper in an ABI committee newsletter.

The winning paper will be published in Law & Social Inquiry and the author(s) will receive a total cash prize of $500.
