New GA Voting Machines Demo

Wednesday, January 29, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm
Morris, Manning, & Martin Cafe

As of the March 2020 Presidential Preference Primary election, Athens-Clarke County voters will begin using new voting equipment for the first time in nearly 20 years. The new system is paper based, while still using secure technology for voter accuracy. The new system is managed by the Georgia Secretary of State's office for use throughout Georgia and completely replaces the previous voting system.

The Board of Elections will be bringing two of the new voting units to the law school for students to learn about and test. The unit has a series of questions about Georgia to allow voters to try out different kinds of votes, such as those that might require multiple selections in a single election. Voter registration forms will also be available.
Stop by the law school's Morris, Manning, & Martin Cafe on January 29 from noon-1:30pm to learn about and test your 2020 Georgia vote!
