Georgia Law Environmental Practicum Director and Associate Dean of the Odum School of Ecology Laurie A. Fowler was recently honored with the Ogden Doremus Award for Excellence in Environmental Law from the public interest legal group GreenLaw. This award recognizes the role that lawyers play in protecting Georgia's natural resources.

The Institute (made up of a select number of lawyers, judges and law professors) drafts, discusses, revises and publishes Restatements of the Law, model statutes and principles of law that are influential in the courts and legislatures as well as in legal scholarship and education.
