Biographical Information: 

James M. McGee is senior vice president and deputy general counsel at Warner Bros. Entertainment, where he heads the business and legal affairs teams supporting the Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang and Turner Classic Movies television networks as well as the Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Warner Bros. Animation studios. Among other things, he oversees matters pertaining to the development and production of original programming, licensed acquisitions, outbound licensing and the exploitation of content on various digital platforms.

Prior to his work at Warner Bros., McGee was an associate attorney in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions group at King & Spalding in Atlanta.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia, where he served as the executive notes editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law.
