
Our faculty are leaders in scholarship, teaching and service, as detailed in our faculty profiles. Here are highlights of their recent achievements:

Hosch Professor & Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor Lori A. Ringhand was featured on Georgia Public Broadcasting regarding recent rule changes passed by the Georgia State Elections Board. The segment titled "What kind of rules can the Georgia Election Board make?" was hosted by Peter Biello and published 8/26/24.

Congratulations to Andrea L. Dennis and Usha R. Rodrigues for being named associate deans at the School of Law. Dennis will oversee academic affairs and student life, while Rodrigues will support the school's faculty in pursuit of world-class scholarship and extramural funding.

Congratulations to the four School of Law faculty members who have been promoted or awarded new titles. Professor Nathan S. Chapman now holds the Cleveland Distinguished Chair of Law, Veteran Legal Clinic Director Alexander W. Scherr is now a full Clinical Professor, First Amendment Clinic Director Clare R. Norins is now a Clinical Associate Professor and Instruction and Faculty Services Librarian Savanna Nolan now holds the rank of Law Librarian III.

The School of Law is pleased to welcome four new professors this fall. Prof. Pamela Foohey will teach Bankruptcy, Secured Transactions and a Bankruptcy Practice Seminar; Asst. Prof. Assaf Harpaz will teach Federal Income Tax and Taxation of Business Enterprises; Asst. Prof. Desirée LeClercq will teach International Trade and Workers Rights, International Labor Law, International Law and U.S. Labor Law; and Asst. Prof. Meighan Parker will teach The Law of American Health Care and Torts.

Assistant Professor Desirée LeClercq presented "Enforcement of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement Rapid Response Mechanism" at the Law and Society Association Annual Meeting in Denver.
