Earn Your LL.M. at a Leading U.S. Law School

The Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at the University of Georgia School of Law offers foreign law graduates opportunities to learn about the U.S. legal system, deepen knowledge of an area of specialization, and explore new legal interests at one of the nation’s top law schools. The ten-month program provides individualized support through the Dean Rusk International Law Center and prepares international students for a globalized legal market.

Welcome to Georgia

The School of Law is located on the historic north campus of the University of Georgia, the oldest state-chartered university in the United States. LL.M. students benefit from belonging to a close-knit law community within a major research institution with a global outlook. Steps away from the law school, the iconic UGA Arch divides the campus and downtown Athens.

A popular college town, Athens appeals to students of all ages because of its world-class musical and cultural events, as well as its unique shops, cafes, and restaurants. The university’s 19 varsity athletic teams competing as the Georgia Bulldogs are among the most successful in the NCAA Division 1 and attract enthusiastic crowds.

Athens lies only 80 miles from Georgia’s capital, Atlanta, a vibrant global gateway city served by the world’s busiest airport. The university’s location provides access to local, national, and international law firms, the Atlanta international arbitration society, as well as the many Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Georgia.
