The Environmental Law Association (ELA) is an organization for JD, LLM, and MSL students curious about the environmental law practice or interested in the development and advancement of the goals of environmental law. We participate in the following activities:
- Organization of the yearly Red Clay Conference
- Meetings and panels discussing careers in environmental law
- Dissemination of information regarding internships and jobs
- Promotion of sound environmental policies

Red Clay Conference
The Red Clay Conference is an annual student-led conference hosted by ELA to increase public awareness of current issues in environmental law. ELA invites various experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to engage in educational panel discussions. The conference is open to any interested parties including law students and faculty, lawyers, undergraduates, community members, etc.
To attend the next Red Clay Conference, look out for registration information in the late fall or early spring semester each school year.
