One Read Book Talk: "We Shall Not Be Moved"
You are invited to the first One Read event of the semester, our One Read Book Talk on "We Shall Not Be Moved: The Desegregation of the University of Georgia by " Wednesday evening, September 30, from 7-8pm on Zoom. We will utilize breakout rooms to have small group discussions focusing on the first 4 chapters of the book (through page 110). These chapters take us through Horace Ward’s lengthy application process to the School of Law, the reception of Brown v. Board of Education in Georgia, and the application processes and eventual admittance of Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter to UGA. Small group discussions will be led by librarians and BLSA students.
