Professor & Practicum in Animal Welfare Skills Director Lisa Milot was featured on Monroe Local News regarding work performed by PAWS students to update animal control ordinances in Georgia's Walton County. The article titled "Anti-tethering law passes unanimously in Walton County" was written by Sharon Swanepoel and published 11/2/22.

Congratulations to Lindsey Simon for being appointed by the Board of Regents to the School of Law’s Robert Cotten Alston Associate Chair in Corporate Law. Her recent scholarship includes “Bankruptcy Grifters” in the Yale Law Journal (which was selected by the AALS as an honorable mention in its 2021 Scholarly Papers Competition) and “The Settlement Trap” in the Indiana Law Journal

Alston Associate Chair in Corporate Law Lindsey Simon's article "Bankruptcy Grifters" (131 Yale Law Journal 1154 (2022)) was reviewed by R.J. Effron in JOTWELL (Nov. 7, 2022). In the review titled "Fighting the grift: The stubborn creep of bankruptcy as a forum for aggregate litigation," Effron says Simon's article is "a must-read for anyone interested in modern aggregate litigation."
