Congratulations to second-year students J. Caleb Grant, Alexander F. "Alex" Krupp, Emily M. "Millie" Price, Courtney H. Robinson and James A. Stewart for finishing the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition as octofinalists.
Third-year students Donavan C. Juleus and Haley K. Kairab finished the National Trial Competition as quarterfinalists.
The School of Law claimed the top two trophies at the Southeastern Invitational National Moot Tournament. The team of second-year students Africa A. Buggs and Lucas J. Iddings argued against second-year students Nia N. Waller and Roby A.
Third-year students Haley K. Kairab and Donavan C. Juleus recently won a regional title in the National Trial Competition, advancing to the national tier of the tournament to be held during April.
Third-year Jacob D. Swanstrom and second-year students Justin W. Tilghman and Jack K. Mahon were semifinalists in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, hosted by Pace University.

The Appellate Litigation Clinic has won a remand in the case Thomas v. Secretary, Fla. Dep’t of Corrs before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. The court remanded for an evidentiary hearing on whether amending the client's habeas petition would be futile.
