The Sohn Library comprises 5,000 volumes donated from the personal collection of one of the 20th Century’s most eminent international lawyers. Throughout the 1980s, Sohn was a beloved professor at Georgia Law, where he was the inaugural holder of the Emily & Ernest Woodruff Chair in International Law. He advised U.N. agencies and served as a president of the American Society of International Law, Vice President of the American Branch of the International Law Association, and Chair of the American Bar Association Section of International Law.
