Brumby Distinguished Professor in First Amendment Law Sonja R. West, who has served as a senior research fellow at the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University for the 2023-24 academic year, participated in a symposium focused on her year’s work titled “The Future of Press Freedom: Democracy, Law, and the News in Changing Times.” During the event, West moderated a panel, conducted a Q&A with former Harvard Law School Dean Martha Minow and gave closing remarks.
