Candidates who wish to apply for the M.S.L. Program must have received a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by the time they enroll in the M.S.L. Program.
Dates & Deadlines:
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Priority Registration Application Deadline: March 1, 2024
    • Submitting your application before March 1 allows you ample time to register for classes once you are admitted.
  • Final Application Deadline: June 15th, 2024
    • All documents accompany the application must also be submitted by this date.
    • Applications received after March 1 but before June 15 are still eligible for admission, but securing the applicant's preferred class schedule is not promised.
  • Classes begin in August of 2024.
As a part of your application you will be required to submit the following documents:
- Official transcripts with proof of bachelor's degree
- Personal statement
- Current résumé or CV
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- Standardized test score*

Our application form is available online. Please complete all required fields and follow the directions carefully. After completing our online application form, you will be prompted to upload your personal statement and a current resume or CV.  Your personal statement should be approximately 500 words and indicate why you wish to attend the M.S.L. program at the University of Georgia School of Law. Please submit these documents in either .PDF or .DOC format.

Please submit official transcripts with proof of degree(s) for all colleges and universities that you have attended. Official records do not have to be sent directly from the university or college, but must be authenticated with a signature and/or seal. Note: Parchment does not include the law school as a recipient option. Please use the link below the search function to manually enter our email or mailing address.
Two (2) letters of recommendation are required, and we will accept up to three (3) letters of recommendation. Please have your recommenders send their letters directly to the University of Georgia Law M.S.L. program either by mail or email. The letters must come from the recommender directly in order to be considered authentic. It is preferred that the letters of recommendation be no more than two years old. We prefer letters from professors, employers, or other recommenders who can attest to your ability to enter a professional program. If you have been out of school for multiple years, employer references will suffice.
Acceptable standardized test scores include LSAT, GMAT, MCAT, or GRE. Applicants may send their score(s), or may direct the testing agency to send the scores directly to the M.S.L. program at the University of Georgia School of Law*.
