Non-profit health system only 40 miles from Athens that cares for more than 1 million people through five hospitals and a variety of outpatient locations with a mission of improving the health of the community.
Type of work: Students will work on a variety of matters related to in-house healthcare practice, including exposure to medio-legal analyses, transactional review/ drafting/ negotiation, and general corporate advice and counsel. Types of projects may include, but are not limited to, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain contracts, IT licenses and software agreements, clinical service agreements, healthcare innovation/ AI, fraud and abuse laws, health care provider regulation, physician employment matters, patient involuntary commitments, medical consent, guardianships, and data privacy.
Note: Externship may be hybrid, with a preference for on-site.
