Every spring, 1Ls and LLMs are invited to attend firm visits with big Atlanta law firms. These visits provide are an excellent professional networking and personal growth opportunity. You will meet attorneys who can provide advice and additional contacts, as well as, learn about hiring processes for 1L & 2L summers and post-graduate jobs.

This year King & Spalding will host a panel open to 1L and 2L students, followed by a networking session where students will be divided into breakout rooms.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta has a staff attorneys' office. Attorneys will visit and share information about their work, and about the hiring procedures for interested students.

This is an especially valuable information session for 3Ls. 1Ls and 2Ls are welcome to attend.

Public Interest Brown-Bag: City Governmental Affairs, 2020 Summer Public Service Internship

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms' Office of Immigrant Affairs - Welcoming Atlanta will present an information session about its paid summer internship. The program will expose students to the following city government agencies: the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta Police Department, Public Safety Annex, Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Invest Atlanta, International Affairs, and other public-private partnerships.

2020 Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic Virtual Conference

The 2020 Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic Virtual Conference will be held in a webinar format. Topics will focus on the commercial and sexual exploitation of children, LGBTQ+ Youth in foster care and creative justice for survivors. The virtual conference's keynote lecture will be delivered by Director Tom C. Rawlings of the Georgia Division of Children and Family Services. Attorneys participating in the live webinar may earn up to 4 CLE credits.

Passport to Practice

A collaboration between several organizations, this unique program is designed to round out skillsets needed to navigate and succeed in the ever-changing legal landscape. Going beyond a speaker series, Passport to Practice will require modest pre-reads, session attendance, and brief learning comprehension checks. Participants completing the requirements will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
