The Georgia Museum of Art and the UGA School of Law have partnered to bring you a special evening at the Georgia Museum of Art!

All law students, faculty, and staff are invited to sign up for a special tour highlighting pieces currently on exhibit, followed by free time to visit the rest of the collection. Tours will be offered on the following dates:

Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 29 at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, November 5 at 6:00 p.m.

Charter Lecture Series 2021 featuring the law school's Diane Marie Amann

The four UGA faculty members who were named 2020 and 2021 Regents' Professors, an honor bestowed by the Board of Regents on distinguished faculty whose scholarship or creative activity is recognized both nationally and internationally as innovative and pace-setting, will each discuss their work in a joint Charter Lecture. School of Law Commencement

Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold D. Melton will deliver the University of Georgia School of Law's 2021 Commencement address May 22 in Stegeman Coliseum, with social distancing measures in place.

Approximately 215 students will be eligible to participate in this year's ceremony for Juris Doctor (J.D.), Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Master in the Study of Law (M.S.L) candidates.

118th Sibley Lecture featuring Dr. Monica Bell, Yale Law School

to

Monica Bell is an Associate Professor of Law at Yale Law School and an Associate Professor of Sociology at Yale University. Her areas of expertise include criminal justice, welfare law, housing, race and the law, qualitative research methods, and law and sociology. The title of her presentation is "The Case for Racism Response Funds: A Collective Response to Racist Acts."

Professor Thomas Kadri will be the host for this lecture.
