The University of Georgia School of Law invites you to attend an Open House event for Admitted Students. We are hosting both a Virtual Open House (via Zoom on March 18th-19th) and an In-Person Open House (in Hirsch Hall on April 2nd). Please join us for one or both of these opportunities to engage with the law school community and other admitted students to learn more about experiential learning opportunities, advocacy programs, career development, and other law school resources.

The University of Georgia School of Law invites you to attend a Master in the Study of Law (M.S.L.) at the University of Georgia Informational Webinar. The webinar will be on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 12:00 pm. This is an informational webinar for prospective applicants to the Master in the Study of Law degree. You will be able to ask any questions you might have during the webinar, but you can also provide questions on the registration form to make sure your questions are answered during the session.

Business as Usual: Inequality and Health Litigation during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Brazil with Natalia Pires de Vasconcelos

Brazil's active judicial system has the power to define the constitutional content of the country's healthcare policy by forcing the government to embrace equal protection of the right to health. In this talk, I present the results of an upcoming chapter in which I compare the pandemic’s effect on the judicial protection of the right to health for those incarcerated and those who are free. In both cases, courts had serious incentives to take the pandemic seriously and consider its disproportionate impact on marginalized communities.

UGA Study Away Fair

The event is free and open to all (no pre-registration required). It will take place on the 3rd floor of the Tate Student Center, which is located at 45 Baxter St. in Athens, GA. There are elevators from the Tate Center parking deck directly to the 3rd floor.
