The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for a student(s) in the School of Law (“School”). Preference shall be given to law students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Student who exhibits a dedication to racial equality;

• Student who demonstrates an interest in serving underrepresented minority or ethnic groups;

• Student who has overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic or educational disadvantage or other significant challenges; and/or

• Student who has demonstrated achievement and determination in the face of challenging social, economic, educational, cultural, or other life circumstances.

All other factors being equal, additional preference will be given to first-generation college graduates. Recipients shall be selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the School.
