Xavier R. Brown serves as the assistant dean for admissions and strategic initiatives at the University of Georgia School of Law. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the admissions process for the Juris Doctor and Master in the Study of Law programs, including strategic enrollment planning, application review, scholarship administration and recruitment strategy.
He collaborates with faculty, staff, students and alumni on initiatives that promote academic success, strengthen community engagement and enhance recruitment efforts. He also directs the School of Law’s Summer Academic Success Program, an intensive pre-matriculation program designed to provide incoming students with a strong foundation for the challenges of legal education.
Since joining the Office of Admissions in 2017, Brown has played a vital role in advancing the law school’s national recruitment efforts and implementing innovative enrollment strategies. His leadership has been instrumental in enrolling classes that are academically distinguished and aligned with the school’s mission and values.
Brown earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in political science from Georgia Southern University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia.
