Biographical Information

Lauren Cook joined the University of Georgia School of Law in the summer of 2026. She presently serves as the school’s event coordinator and works with the dean, faculty, staff and students to plan various events throughout the year. These include: orientation, faculty lunches, admissions open houses and lunches, advocacy receptions, student treats and law school-sponsored meetings and symposiums. 

Cook has been employed at the University of Georgia since 2008. Most recently, Cook was the senior director of strategic programs for Development and Alumni Relations, a role she held for five years. She also worked for the Alumni Association for six years as its senior director of events and director of alumni programs, for the Office of Special Events as the senior event coordinator for three years and the Georgia Museum of Art as the senior event coordinator for four years.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Historic Preservation, along with a graduate certificate in non-profit management, from the University of Georgia.
