For the 12th consecutive year, University of Georgia School of Law graduates have led the state in the Georgia bar exam passage rate. UGA Law graduates who sat for the July 2025 exam posted the highest rate for first-time takers among the state’s law schools and exceeded the overall passage rate by more than 6%.
"The University of Georgia School of Law is focused on producing well-rounded graduates who will succeed and thrive as professionals," according to Dean Usha R. Rodrigues. "We are pleased to see our law school’s graduates once again lead the state in the passage of the July Georgia bar exam. We also remain committed to our graduates who did not achieve their desired result, as evidenced by 100% of our repeat takers passing this year and our overall Ultimate Bar Passage Rate of 98.95% (percentage of those who sat for the bar exam and passed within two years of graduation)," she said.
"Our longstanding bar exam preparation team – under the leadership of Assistant Dean Tony Waller and Director of Bar Passage Jean Mangan – continues to evaluate and develop new programming to support our students and graduates as they prepare for this important exam," she added. "Through the efforts of this team – and ultimately through the hard work of our students and graduates – I am proud to say that UGA Law has led the state’s law schools in July Georgia bar exam passage for first-time takers for 12 consecutive years."
