The Carl Vinson Institute of Government helps public officials throughout Georgia and around the world on a range of government initiatives, including: rewriting city charters, analyzing proposed state legislation, crafting local land use regulations, assisting with intergovernmental disputes, and navigating governmental clients through complex service delivery arrangements and compliance issues. CVIOG faculty includes both J.D.s and Ph.D.s that use their expertise to assist governmental clients in achieving difficult objectives. Law students will work with a faculty member that is an attorney on legal aspects of a variety of projects that require legal research and writing as well as interaction with public officials.
