Type of work: This externship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the build-out of a legal function from the ground up at a growing global SaaS company. The extern will work directly with the General Counsel on substantive, real-world legal work — not busywork.
Responsibilities may include drafting and refining internal policies, processes, and procedures; translating complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable language for business stakeholders; developing training materials to help non-legal teams understand and manage legal risk; and supporting the preparation of materials for Board and Executive Leadership Team meetings.
Research may be a part of the role, but the work product here is built for speed — think concise summaries, decision-ready briefs, and practical guidance, not formal memos. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can distill complex issues quickly, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings genuine curiosity about AI and its legal and business implications.

Applicants with practical skills in contract drafting and redlining, regulatory research, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences are strongly encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, or SaaS vendor agreements is a plus.
