Description

Type of work: Student will perform a combination of tasks, with emphasis on research, writing, and monitoring, including helping to research and interpret NCAA and SEC rules and monitor compliance at football games on Saturdays in the fall. Student will also help put together training materials. The fall term experience will emphasize gaining familiarity with NCAA and SEC rules and processes, particularly in the area of recruiting. The spring term experience will build on the fall term and include execution of more complex NCAA and SEC responsibilities.

Selected students will be expected to participate in both fall and spring semesters and work two days per week in addition to home football games.

Prior coursework or other skills: Genuine interest in compliance as a career; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; prior work in a law firm would be helpful but not required; desire to participate in externship program for both fall and spring terms.

Number of students: 1-2

Preferred days: Flexible; 2 days per week required plus some Saturdays in the fall
