Melissa McCall currently serves as the instruction and faculty services librarian at the University of Georgia's Alexander Campbell King Law Library. In this role, she guides faculty and student research with materials, instruction and other resources.
McCall’s legal career began in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Patricia D. Steele of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands. She was subsequently appointed by the governor as legal counsel in the Division of Environmental Protection, where she would later serve as director. She also worked as an associate at the Law Office of Andrew C. Simpson in St. Croix.
Her other legal experience includes serving as a legal analyst for the Delaware Department of State through Epiq and working as an administrative hearing officer for the state governments of Texas and Missouri through Robert Half.
Drawing on her journalism background, McCall was a legal writer for Thomson Reuters through Tundra Technical.
McCall earned her Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University and her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University. She holds a Master of Science in journalism from Stony Brook University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. She has been a member of the American Association of Law Libraries since 2024.
