Callaway Chair of Law Emeritus Ronald L. Carlson's book Carlson on Evidence (with M. Carlson) was recently cited by the Georgia Court of Appeals in the case Mason v. State regarding when a family violence nurse was qualified to testify about the strangulation of a victim in an assault case. This citation brings the total to 70 times that this text has been used by Georgia appellate courts to resolve evidentiary issues.

Brumby Distinguished Professor in First Amendment Law Sonja R. West presented "Protecting the First Amendment in an Anti-Press Age" as part of the Princeton University Program in Law and Public Policy's Spring Seminar Series during January.

Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Emeritus Walter Hellerstein's treatise State Taxation was quoted by the Oregon Tax Court in Apple Inc. v. Department of Revenue (Jan. 24, 2024) involving state corporate income taxation.
