Lori Ringhand receives a Congressional Research Grant

Associate Professor Lori A. Ringhand has been awarded a Congressional Research Grant from The Dirksen Congressional Center along with political scientist Paul M. Collins Jr. The duo will use the grant to expand the scope of their research on the U.S. Supreme Court confirmation process.

Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Allen Post Professor Paul J. Heald's article "Trademark Infringement, Trademark Dilution, and the Decline in Sharing of Famous Brand Names: An Introduction and Empirical Study" was one of only a handful of intellectual property law articles selected for inclusion in the 2011 Intellectual Property Law Review, a yearly anthology published by West Group. Heald's article was originally published in 59 Buffalo Law Review 141 (2011).

Associate Professor Usha Rodrigues's article "Placebo Ethics: A Study in Securities Disclosure Arbitrage" was one of only 8 to 10 securities law articles selected for inclusion in the 2011 Securities Law Review, a yearly anthology published by West Group. Rodrigues's article was originally published in 96 Virginia Law Review 1 (2010).


UGA forum to focus on human health in global societies; Khan to deliver keynote address

Assistant Professor Fazal Khan will present "The Human Factor: Globalizing Ethical Standards in Drug Trials through Market Exclusion" as the morning keynote speaker for the 2011 Global Educational Forum on Human Health in Global Societies. The forum will take place March 31 at the UGA Tate Student Center.
