Course Description

Through examining challenging hypotheticals, this course will explore the fundamentals of U.S. copyright law, including originality, the exclusive rights of copyright holders, infringement, secondary liability, fair use, litigation remedies, the impact of artificial intelligence, and the policy objectives of Article I and its protections for creators. Students will master doctrine by applying copyright law in a variety of practical assignments.
