Peter J. Shedd Scholarship Fund:

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for a student at the School of Law. Preference may be given to students who demonstrate one or more of the following:

  • Graduate of a business school at any college or university, with first preference given to those with an undergraduate or graduate degree from the Terry College of Business;
  • Those who have earned a Certificate in Legal Studies or similar distinction at any college or university, with first preference given to those from the Terry College of Business;
  • Those with demonstrated interest or achievement in advocacy, particularly those who have participated in moot court, mock trial, debate team, or similar competitions at any academic level.

All other factors being equal, additional preference may be given to students who demonstrate achievement in the face of challenging circumstances (e.g., first-generation college graduate, military service, poverty, disability, emergency and/or mental health needs, self-financing education through employment, and/or those with a spouse, dependent(s), and/or care-giving or financial support responsibilities to a family member(s) during law school). Recipients shall be selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the School.
