Congratulations to second-year students Eric S. Gulbranson, Olivia G. Haas and Daniel J. Lanclos, along with third-year student Dresden L. Day, for winning the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge, hosted by the South Texas School of Law in Houston. The team was coached by Director of Trial Advocacy Jeremy Dailey and alumnus Andrei Ionescu (J.D.’12).
Two competitors scored individual honors, with Gulbranson earning outstanding advocate in the preliminary rounds and best advocate in the final round. Day won most professional and outstanding advocate in the preliminary rounds. The team also won an outstanding brief award. This is the fifth time that UGA has won this competition, with previous victories coming in 2021, 2018, 2017 and 2014.
