UGA Monitoring Potential Winter Storm
The University of Georgia is continuing to monitor the potential development of snow and bitter temperatures that could last throughout the weekend. While the risk of widespread power outages is reduced due to the forecast calling for snow and not freezing ice, the persistence of sub-freezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst and create challenging conditions for travel. We will continue to monitor throughout the weekend and will make a decision regarding Monday classes by late Sunday afternoon.
