Anjelica C. Violi joined the University of Georgia School of Law’s Alexander Campbell King Law Library in the fall of 2024 as the student engagement librarian.
In this role, she is responsible for designing and implementing a variety of Law Library activities and programs aimed at enhancing student learning and academic success. Violi creates, evaluates and promotes student-centered Law Library services, resources and events. She also leads student outreach efforts, coordinates Law Library-hosted student events and contributes to the Law Library’s legal research and instructional services. Additionally, she serves as the primary liaison between the Law Library and the student body.
Before joining UGA, Violi served as a staff attorney for the Indiana Gaming Commission, where she oversaw the revocation and suspension of occupational licenses, conducted license verifications, processed and managed public records requests, along with managing statewide patron exclusion lists and engaging in patron services.
Violi’s legal background also includes work as a deputy attorney general in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General, a staff attorney at the Indiana Department of Child Services, and as a contractor document review attorney for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Legility (Consilio) and Knowable.
After receiving her bachelor’s degrees in journalism and classical studies from Indiana University – Bloomington, Violi earned her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University, and her Master of Library and Information Science from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.
Violi is actively involved in the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and the Southeastern Chapter American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL). She is also a member in good standing of the Indiana State Bar (active).
