Description

Students provide research and writing support for Superior Courts judges. Students do not perform trial advocacy, but have exposure to trials through observation and discussion with the trial judges and the permanent clerks. Students will gain full exposure to the workings of a Georgia trial court, and will gain insight into the decision-making processes of trial courts in contested cases. Candidates should be dedicated to meeting deadlines, efficient in delivering research work, and have demonstrated maturity and commitment to work.

Please note that Judge Lott conducts court in Athens-Clarke and Oconee Counties. The main student work space is in the Oconee County Courthouse in Watkinsville, Georgia.
